It is a fact that businesses that experience data loss soon find themselves in trouble.  What can you do to prevent this?

- Ensure that your computer network is proactively monitored (Total Care!)
- Get your IT support company to regularly test restore your backups
- Take a secondary backup using an on-line data vault

On-premise backups

If you have one or more servers, the chances are you may be backing up to tape or a USB device.  This is an excellent solution as long as you have a rota of tapes, and a recent copy of your data is stored offsite.  In Windows 2008 Server backups use USB disks natively.

On-line backups

More and more now backups are remote, using on-line backups. These are normally charged per GB of storage data. They are relatively quick and easy to setup, and restoring is also fast. Some options require a second SDSL line.

In summary, don’t risk not having a good backup strategy in place.  If you would like to discuss this topic further, please contact us
